We're here!!!! The process was a bit complicated, getting a covid test no earlier than 120 hours before we left, uploading it to the St. Maarten government website and then waiting for approval to come, but it all happened. The airport in Detroit was deserted. The Newark Airport was quite busy. Our plane had about 50 people on it.
We arrived 50 minutes early and there was no one ahead of us at the airport. We got to use a ramp instead of stairs and then a 2 minute ride to the terminal. Health screening 1st, then immigration and our luggage was already on the carousel. Picked up our rental car and checked in to the resort.
Our unit has been vacant for over 2 weeks and smells like it was throughly disinfected so John is happy. Jeannie Gee was delivering our grocery order so we got to saw Hi to her!!
Yes, the upper B building Unite B480. It's a corner unit.
Update: Saba appeared overnight. Sunday and Monday were VERY windy. At the moment just a light breeze. We'll see if that stays for the day. I'll try posting pictures from yesterday later this morning.
Have you heard much noise from the bars on KimSha? I have heard that the Cocky Turtle is blasting noise until 3 am at least four days a week. And of course, Roxxy had the same problem last year. You may not be able to hear it from the B buildings, but at the Villas it is horrendous.
We are on the 4th floor of the Upper B Building and don't hear a thing. Even when the Regatta party was on Kim Shaw Beach we never hear anything. It's a great location.
Thanks Boucharda and Leagle49. At the Villas, when the Regatta party was on Kim Sha it was terrible. Same last year with Roxxy. And now, we're hearing that Cocky Turtle is worse. You're both lucky to be in the B Building. With the ear splitting music coming across the water, it is impossible to sit on your balcony and hold a conversation.
