FYI. We submitted our GE renewal requests online and received approval in 24 hours. No interview required. Website says you can renew up to one year prior to your GE expiration. Upon approval, 5 years is added to the original expiration date. You lose nothing by doing it early.

Was able to call yesterday and ours is in the pending phase! They cashed my check in September. The agent said it is good for 24 months from the expiration date. COVID you know!

What expiration date? Your current GE or application for renewal?

After completing and submitting our renewals the websites said our expiration would be extended one year to allow them time to process the renewal. I don't remember anything about a two year extension but could be wrong. After seeing that I was surprised that the approval came back in 24 hours.

Even though my husband and I both got our first global entry the same day 5 years ago...he was able to renew his last week online. I have to wait to renew mine on my birthday next month. They do not expire for another year...but you can renew them the last year on your birthday.

I was very surprised to get ours back in 24 hours.
