At some point, some level of risk reduction is enough level of risk reduction.
Negative test to board say in Miami. Negative test each evening upon return to ship or prior to dinner to clear the passenger for next day activity ashore.
How many pax are willing to take a test each day? I think many would for awhile.
How many positive tests onboard causes port of SXM to deny docking. Zero tolerance?
The cruise lines and the islands need to get this figured out or all of 2021 will be a bust. Last I heard, most lines only have cash to get through to some point into 2021, not some point in 2022.
Statistics and testing should allow for “enough” risk reduction. Vaccines help the vaccinated. Im not sure how much they help the ship or island until majority on both are vaccinated.
