End of day 9, walked to Toppers for some predinner drinks, friendly bartender. Checked menu for appetizer, nothing really appealed to us. Thought we might have dinner here sometime on trip but never happened. Will be back in August.
Went to get our COVID test to return to states. So easy, I’d say we were there for maybe 5-8 minutes. The test site is just beyond the entrances to Hollywood Casino and Isola. After test they said we could pick up results at front desk that evening. Stopped and picked up after couple hours, gave us paper. So easy. There were folks waiting outside the clinic so maybe if you aren’t staying at their resort, you have to wait?
Ended day at Lee’s. I had the ribs and Dana chose the chicken. Ribs are single pieces, not like a rack that we would normally get in the states. Still decent. Dana didn’t care for her chicken. Plan was to go to Red Piano after but we always have plans to stay up late but it never happens so never made it. After
Yesterday hung out at Orient all day. (Last day to soak up the sun). Came back and cleaned up for dinner, still hadn’t decided where to eat for dinner. Went to Driftwood Beach Bar planning on getting drinks and getting sunset pics. Sand still spilling over road on Maho Beach. Got interrupted by lovely daughter who got stuck in the snow in our driveway. Talked her through getting out. Never made it for drinks. We decided on either Palapa for 2nd time or Sale &Pepe for 3rd time. Coin flip decided and off to Sale & Pepe. Again great service and food! Wife got the mushroom ravioli which her quote “was to die for”. I got the chicken Parmesan with Alfredo sauce on the pasta. Don’t know how these guys get negative reviews. They do have a different kind of system where you may have 4 or 5 different waiting on you. Watching the staff, it looks like they just help out as needed.
Stopped at Greenhouse for drinks on way back, Jacob is still there and as always entertaining.
Received late check out and will be leaving shortly for lunch at Grand Case Beach Club. Flight doesn’t leave til 4 so have some time to kill.
Anyone know name of yacht or who owns it in pics. Beautiful boat. We have googled the names of each of the yachts we’ve seen and realize we will never charter a yacht but nice to dream.
