Day 7 - Wednesday Hard to believe we've been in SXM a week. And really sadly, we only have a week left. The seas and wind were softer today. Almost back to normal(?). After breakfast we retired to our deck to watch the world go by. I took a walk down the beach to about half way between Beachside Villas and Karacters. Took some pictures for my BSV friends so they could judge sand because of the last few days. Took one picture from our deck just because I love the "blue" colors of the sea. Really could waste my day staring at the color. No lunch today. The late breakfasts and a few snacks pretty well takes care of any afternoon cravings. Dinner tonight was at an old favorite, Chesterfields and their Grilled Grouper dinner. It splits very easily giving us both enough to eat. With two teas and a service charge the bill was $31.00. Went to Princess Casino. Neither of us did great, but didn't lose everything either.
What sand?? Each unit has just enough sand to put out 2 or 3 loungers at the bottom of the stairs, adjacent to a 4 foot drop to the beach. And the bottom 4 stair treads are buried in sand. Go figure?
Just goes to show you that things in the past 12 months are crazy. We have never had more than maybe a 6 inch drop off in the sand at Beachside, in trips since about 2008..
