Wow, looks pretty dangerous to me! Fortunately we have never gotten stuck on the wrong side of that situation. Sunset webcam

There's a front loader there now, clearing the road.

As of 10 a.m still not cleared am afraid same thing today. Never seen the ocean this rough here. Pretty to look at but too dangerous for water activity.

Initially, I thought you were omniscient, but of course, SXM is an hour later than the US East Coast right now. At least right now, the water is not reaching to the road, which is a good thing. Not sure when high tide is.

They are still working on the road, but the sand is currently piled up so high by the side of the road, that it is almost level with the top of the cars going by!!

Lots of beach, hopefully no more goes on the road.

As a personal point of interest, every so often I hear people asking about the normal tides, both high and low, on the island. Not sure where or how I heard this but I am under the impression there is no significant daily tide change there. Is this true?
I’ve never noticed any changes but we usually tend to spend not more than 5 or 6 hours on the beach on any given day so it’s possible we may have missed them? Now we stay basically on the beach and I've yet to notice the dailyhigh and low tidal changes we might see at the RI beaches we typically visit.

Correct. There isn't much tide fluctuation so close the Equator. More currents than changes.
