If Carol isn't right I'm guessing South Africa somewhere.

Mike, you are correct. Want to try guessing where -or close to where- in SA? What told you it was SA in the first place?

Stellenbosch, SA? I went to college in Williamsburg, but didn't recognize the building

Zanshin, not Stellenbosch but relative to "somewhere in SA" you are very close.

It just looked very like the buildings, in a place I can't remember the name of, quite near to Cape Town! All of the buildings there were white with green shutters and thatch roofs.
Think I've got it now but used google maps to remind myself so I'll keep quiet.

Looks a bit like the building on the Hamilton Russell Vineyards label. They make some nice Chard and Pinot Noir.

Fred, you're right. The land in the distance is part of an Air Force base.

I'll guess Eglin AFB, but I think there are one or two others around there. I don't know the name of the beach.

Not Eglin AFB, but getting close. A little further east.

Close enough Fred! Tyndall Air Force Base. The beach is Mexico Beach, Florida which is the western edge of what is known as the "Forgotten Coast". Hurricane Michael made landfall there in 2018 as a Cat 5. Fred, you're up!

Well, I learned how to spell Tyndall AFB properly. This next picture may be a rerun and I know at least one player who has been here because that player also posted a picture from this place.

I think maybe it is Sint Eustatius? Or Saba?

It's Bermuda. I've entered through the gap in the first photo and docked at the customs house that is visible in the distance in the second and in detail in the third.

Correct. The entrance is called Town Cut and it was formerly protected by Gates Fort and the Alexandra Battery. The cut leads to the pretty town of St Georges, Bermuda.

It is indeed France. A region popular with us Brits.
