Trip has been better than expected...well...I should say issues/worries COVID exposure are less than expected. Less traffic, occupancy down most everywhere, beaches comfy and the weirdness of Sunset Beach being a cozy beach instead of the normal chaos. Weather has been superb with infrequent short showers.

Another weirdness is an almost total lack of the biggie yachts sitting in Simpson Bay and the parade during the beach openings. Yesterday we got to the bridge just the barriers were descending and prepared for the wait....only two biggies...total of 5 minutes. The biggies have been replaced by THE BIGGIE BIGGIES....Adventure of the Seas and friends now sit there

Air France is here just about daily and always takes off towards the west every evening. KLM is here maybe three times a week and stays overnight leaving the next evening right before AF (same direction). Charter Airline National arrived yesterday from Wisconsin...never seen it before. Looked like a 767 or similar

Our trip to Grand Case for lunch was enjoyable. Reports of the street work being complete were a bit misleading. It is much better from the parking lot west but the approach to the main street from the airport side is a mess and one lane during the week. Not a big deal though. Ribs with curry rice at Talk of the Town were great....bigger than normal and a huge amount ...for eight bucks. Makes Fat Tony's ribs look lame. As mentioned Happy Bay was superb and minimally occupied. Iguana counts down...probably in COVID isolation.

Marigot looks sad but the traffic is better. There was one stall in the market area selling stuff...a lot are missing. The new Cadisco at the Super U is open for business.

Repeating myself but the Flamingo looks great. Hot tubs (2) are usually occupied in the evening and the grounds are totally re-planted and will look great when the all grow in.

No casino for us this year and no indoor dining, We still have to hit Mullet Beach for a day, wanna try the Greenhouse in SB next to the now boarded up BBB...that one I miss. Great pastries and views at Le Sucriere (prob spelled wrong)...and the Yacht club and pizza at Isola are also on the list as is another Simpson Bay Beach walk.

Sorry for being so wordy but it looks like it could be a moist day so I'm waiting for the weather to decide a plan. Short PIA showers...no big downpours....annnnnnd the sun is out so I am gone.
