We will going to Couples Tower Island and March and I have a few questions. Is there food and beverage service on the actual island itself? My wife is great with topless, but often wears a bottom at Orient Beach in SXM - are there any rules/restrictions on this on the au natural island?
Thanks for any replies and information.

Hi. As others have said in the nude forum, Tower Isle is supposed to be mandatory nude. They serve lunch on the island, but that is it.
If the mandatory nude is a problem for your wife, and you can still cancel, you could consider Grand Lido Negril. It has a lot of problems, as I outlined in my trip report here, but it is fully clothing optional and they do serve lunch there on the c/o beach.

We chose CTI simply because we are taking our kids and grandkids to Beaches, just up the road, for 5 days prior to moving there. Frankly, I think after that time with the kids and grandkids, she will be more than ready to completely relax. I simply wanted to inquire so that there would be no surprises. She has been to OB often enough that it just takes a short time for her to let herself go and be one with nature,
Thank you for your information Carol - you are truly the source of a lot of great information and I have been reading your posts on Travel Talk for more years than either of us would probably want to count!

Many people wrap in a towel during lunch at Tower Isle on at AN island, however swimsuit bottoms are forbidden. The only "topless" portion of the resort is the pier. Main beach is textile, as are both pools. There is a full bar on the island beginning around 10 am, and lunch is brought over from the main resort. Lunch usually consists of a nice salad, two or three entree selections (fish, chicken, beef), rice, veggies, and a few desserts.

There's also a Beaches in Negril. Approx 2 miles from GL.

I thought I should add a footnote, albeit sometime after our visit. The grandkids and our kids all loved Beaches and we really loved Couples Tower Island. After a few minutes on the AN island, my wife was so comfortable the we went beck twice more! The problem was that 4 nights was not long enough at either resort.
As a result, we are already booked for 6 nights at Beaches Negril for Spring Break 2016, and after the kids and grand kids leave, 7 more nights for the two of us at Couples Negril!

Glad it turned out well for you. Would appreciate hearing a report from your next trip, although more promptly, please!

I will be faster next time - I was originally just looking for infor on the total AN nature of the island at Tower Isle, and got great help from this board, as I have learned to expect. It never occurred to me that anyone would care that much about out experience, since everyone else seemed so learned. I was checking this board the other day and saw a question I could have helped with concerning Beaches Ochos Rios. I will try to be better about being a casual and regular viewer!!

Just wondering how many people were on the island each day?
