We are so pleased to announce that OBBR is now offering rt-PCR to in house guests prior to their departure to the USA, if needed to comply with certain state quarantine requirements. The cost of the test is $75.00. This is a voluntary program. We have arranged for medical personnel to collect samples for PCR tests at the resort on Thursday for results to be available no later than Saturday morning. The test can be scheduled any other time at an additional cost or directly with SLS St. Maarten Laboratory services located across from the ST. Maarten Medical Center. Appointment requests can be made at the activities desk or emailed directly to prescreening@sls.sx.

Hopefully this works but I can see the labs on SXM being overwhelmed. Most tests will need to be for a Sat. departure, followed by Fri. and Sun.

We have plenty of time to see how it all works. I am just very happy that the resort is taking this step to help their guests. Ours will be a Saturday departure.

So thankful OBBR is making this available at the resort, more time to enjoy vacation without having to search out a lab and drive in! We fly back on the 30th, will let you know how quickly our results are turned around.
