We went to orient yesterday but after a few minutes we left due to the strong winds. We spent the day at rainbow beach bar in grand case . Very nice beach bar but the crowd was mainly under 40 and French . Great vibes good food and reasonably price. On the way home we stopped for a drink a the lolos in Marigot there are several shipping containers turned into bars on the waterfront .
Thanks for the pics. Seems like there are a lot of folks who don't care for the Rainbow Beach Bar, but I've always had a good experience there in the past. Nice back patio to lay back and have a drink. One time I had a bartender who did not speak any English, but I still managed to get my drink order in albeit in broken french. Impressed on how you guys are really getting around the whole island; so many people set up shop in just one location and never get to see all that the island has to offer.
The beach guys were nice and were busy with drinks, food and chairs , we speak English and Spanish and as my husband says Trinidadian so we have never had a problem on the island with the french people. Captain Frenchy was also busy and le temps des perises were packed too. Next time we will give Le Temps a try. It looks like they include a towel with each chair rental. The chairs at Rainbow were 5 euros per person and included an umbrella.
The chairs at LTC are much more comfortable than those at Rainbow, which is one reason we don't go to Rainbow. I think a set of chairs at LTC is $15 euros (2 chairs, 2 very nice towels, and 1 umbrella). The extra 5 euros is worth it for the comfort of the thick pads, and the towel is just an added bonus.
