Elaine--I assume without knowing, you are talking about Sharon??

I hear rumors that only part of the property is ready for occupation, but this has been an incredibly long time in coming. I note that article seems to say all units would have a washer and dryer, but I would be surprised at that..

You'll have to ask her, I don't know her plans.

Unless they put a small stackable w/d in the units, not sure how they would have them in every unit. It would be a nice touch if they did this.

Good deal, we always stay in this area of Sint Maarten so now we have a few more lodging options. Are there any pics of the newly remodeled rooms at Flamingo yet?

I have seen pictures but they have been posted on private Facebook pages that I belong to. Flamingo will be just fantastic and can't wait for my May 4 week stay there.

Only a week long at Flamingo? I thought you had like three or four weeks?

If you click on the links for each resort, and actually try to make a reservation, you can see some pictures of rooms, etc., but unless I'm doing something wrong, you cannot really see the pictures very well, as they don't enlarge.

Also, booking as a HOTEL is available for dates in January, but the rates shown do not include a mandatory 20% TAX (which is BS, the tax in SXM is NOT 20%, it is tax and SERVICE CHARGE), plus $24.95 per DAY resort fee. I really loathe resort fees.

Hi Carol, Eric & all TTOL members!! I just wanted to touch base after a long absence!! There are several whole owners at RP who rented other accommodations on island during the renovations & they will most likely be the ones moving back in the quickest. Bill & Elaine know several of them now from the Yacht Club so I am no longer the only whole owner they know from RP😁

Mike & I will not be headed down until this virus situation is a little better in both places. I personally do not want to fly yet & since I haven’t seen my place in almost 3 years there is no rush. I also have not been on island since August of 2019 (had a car accident, then revision surgery on my knee in early March & within 10 days of my surgery the virus took over) so I want to be able to visit all of my island people & I don’t feel safe doing that right now. I miss the island & everyone there & I will be back in 2021 but I just don’t know when yet.

I also miss all my “old” customers & I miss TTOL!! Since closing the business (I just beat Irma to it!!) & then having my home temporarily taken from me by Diamond I have been in a real funk. Hopefully my new home here in SC & getting back to RP will put an end to my funkiness!!!

The pictures of what they call condo one bedroom is of the A side of the 2 bed lockout villa buildings 3 and 4. A side is the smaller of the 2 sides. Villa building 6 doesn't have the sliding patio doors like buildings 3 and 4 has.
