Never quite seen a year like 2020. What a messed up year this has been. But, as said above 2021 will be a much, much better year. Sometimes when events happen that cause disruptions, although they are annoying it makes the return visit to St. Martin that much better. Hopefully, all of us who contribute and visit this message board will make the commitment (if possible) to return to SXM some time next year. The next best thing to actually visiting St. Martin is planning your next trip there!

Merry Christmas to everyone, I hope you all have a wonderful day. Here's to wishing for a much better year in 2021. Like a few of you mentioned, this was the first year in 50 years, that I haven't been to SXM. Hoping March/April will be a go. Boy do I have SXM withdrawal.....

Apologies to Pat and Scubaman, as they posted in the correct forum, People Talk. But regardless, happy holidays, everyone!

Merry Christmas to everyone!! We were fortunate to get our 2020 trip in. We headed down in mid-January and everything was pretty normal. By the time we got back to Toronto in mid-February, all the staff at Pearson were wearing masks and there were hand-sanitizer stations everywhere. It felt weird then, although very normal now.

A month later we were in full lockdown here. Our booking and flights were cancelled for our 5-week trip starting next month. For a number of reasons we decided to play it safe and not to re-book. We will miss it, but expect to be back in 2022. Meanwhile, everyone please stay safe.

We are back into full lockdown here. It's snowing and looking pretty today, so we are enjoying a white Christmas. However, it certainly doesn't make up for missing the sand, seas and warmth of St. Martin, although a rum and eggnog in front of the fire helps a bit!! Cheers.

Merry Christmas!
Made it to the friendly island in November and it was just great, and cannot wait to go back in the Spring.
The optimist in me is saying life is going to be normal again in May.
