Sunday has long been a day when we traditionally avoid the beach scene and stay closer to home, wherever that might be in any given trip, but on this trip that seems to be what we do most days and that’s okay. Really don’t need worrying about distancing and such because most here are of a similar mind set..
We sat out by the pool most of the morning visiting with other guests and returned to our villa for lunch and truthfully, because we were starting to fry in the sun. Guess we could have left the pizza in the box out on the pool deck and let the sun heat it for us rather than using the oven, but then we would have to had shared and there just wasn’t enough for that.
The surf is kicking up today and for the first time since we arrived we’re actually seeing a lot of seaweed in the water. I have no basis of comparison since we haven’t hit any other beaches but I sure do love having a pool overlooking the beach - the sounds of the waves crashing but without the sand all over you. It just doesn’t get much better than this. We set out for dinner thinking we’d hit The Spaghetti House again for a light meal but we all know it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind. The gates at BSV weren’t even closed behind us when we changed our minds and ended up having a very nice dinner at El Zafiro aka EZBeach to my mindset. We had coconut shrimp as an app and DH had - what else but his favorite? - rack of lamb. I had a grilled shrimp Caesar Salad. Both were yummy and the traffic was a piece of cake!!
Respectfully,
pat

Pat--you and I think alike==I love the beach for the view, but I'm actually not that big a fan of sand. You are correct, BSV is about the best place to engage in social distancing.. Good move, to avoid those traffic jams for dinner! Thanks for bringing us along..

Sublime may be tomorrow or Thursday night. Not sure yet. It was awesome when in its old location but I’m thinking the pricing must have gone way up for that location

As long as the quality of food hasn’t changed that’s okay. We really enjoyed it last November after we got over the initial surprise of the location. First time we visited we were sure we were in the wrong place but we gave it a try and I think we went back a couple more times with friends and family.

Actually the food is one notch up in quality . But Jax's Steak House has went up real high with their prices. Rack of Lamb from $ 35.00 up to $ 42.00 wow.

Where is Sublime's new location in Maho? It’s now in the old “pre Irma” Bamboo location. Across from Hole in the wall.

Just another day in paradise! Your trip sounds wonderful and so relaxing.
We stayed in Beacon Hill on our last two trips. Our morning walks would take us through the neighborhood to Beachside Villas. We never thought of having dinner at El Zafiro. That will change with our upcoming trip in May!
