I totally missed this from a few days ago because I’ve been so focused on the BVI drama.

Hmmm...we are due to fly on 12/24.

The VI is probably the safest place you could fly into.

Just about the whole world is Level 4 travel warning

We felt very safe in STT and they REALLY pay attention to COVID safety restrictions

Rick - not sure where you are getting your numbers. I'm looking at the USVI department of health report found here:
https://www.covid19usvi.com/sites/default/files/epi_reports/COVID-19_Epi%20Report_12022020.pdf

There are currently 67 active cases in USVI out of which 33 are on STT (as of Dec. 2). The most interesting number that I've been watching is the number of cases linked to travel indicating how effective the health screenings are for entry.

I get a VITEMA text with updates. It changes every day. I like the report too. There is still community transmission on St. John. Lime Inn closed yesterday due to a staff member with positive COVID test results so they could test the whole team.

Seems we're having a bit of a relapse. 88 positive in the USVI with 12 new cases on St. John. Lime Inn, Lime Out, Greengo's, and The Terrace are closed due to positive cases and contact tracing. Other retail stores are affected. Hearing from folks in those circles, there is one degree of separation between the businesses. The positivity rate has crept up over 5%.

Today I am social distancing in Hurricane Hole while making water and working over the Internet. Not another soul in sight.

So far there is some good news in this: "As of Monday, one Covid-19 patient was hospitalized and on a ventilator at the Juan F. Luis Hospital, and one patient was hospitalized at the Schneider Regional Medical Center." I do hope the hospitalization rates can remain this low.
