All, I am reaching out to all the "lucky" ones who have experienced sailing in different parts of the world. We have sailed USVI / BVI many times and LOVE IT! Truly paradise. I have watched numerous youtube videos on live-aboard sailing. From your experience, what are the 2nd and 3rd best places to take a family to do bareboat CAT sailing? I have heard wonderful things about Greece. Would love to hear from the experienced ones.. . Thank you.

We enjoyed Greece, was very different. Less time in the water. Much less privacy moored stern-to-quay, but nice to be able to stroll off the boat. Inexpensive and delicious food, etc. We did it in a flotilla and were glad we did, as the docking in some of the busier harbors would have been hard to manage on our own.
We really liked Abacos (pre hurricane of course), possibly closest to BVI experience for us. Maybe the place we would have most liked to return to.
SVG was certainly enjoyable, but not up to the BVI experience. SXM even less so.
Australia ( Whitsundays ) was awesome, we are booked to return next fall. We'll see.
Thailand was certainly interesting, but had a lot of downsides and we don't feel the need to return.
Sea of Cortez also a very nice cruise.

Last year my wife and I helped a friend deliver her new boat from Nice, FR to Varazze, IT. We had an amazing time visiting small towns along the way and the scenery and weather were perfect. We are planning to joining her next year for a sail around Sardinia.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - beer in hand - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"
