What time frame do you need to fill out the e form in order to get approval back from the government for entry? We are set to arrive on Monday November 16 for 3 weeks.

To the best of my knowledge, you fill it in as soon as you get your COVID test results back because they need to see it during the process.

We are here now. We got our COVID-19 PCR test done within 120 hours of our final departure flight to SXM. Upon receipt of the results we scanned and uploaded them to www.sxmentry.com along with completing the entry form. You have to do it for each individual. Within 1.5 hours we had the approval. We printed the approval and a copy of the test results to show at the airport and upon arrival at SXM. It is a pain in the rear but doable.

Hey Jaybird, Congrats on making it to St Maarten. What facility did you use to get your test and results in such a short time. Having trouble locating one in Milwaukee that will ensure test and results with enough time to apply and get our green light to get in. We are traveling to the island in early Dec so I am shopping for a facility.

Not Jaybird, but my experience in asking how quickly we can get test results is that no one will guarantee results; only tell you what the average seems to be. It's a crapshoot. It sure would be nice if SXM would accept the rapid tests!

I agree, Georgia. It sure would simplify things for most who want to travel to the island and might actually induce more to book trips who currently don’t want all the hassle the current testing involves. I sometimes wonder if the government is deliberately helping to add to the problem rather than alleviate it.
Respectfully,
pat

Our PCR test experience will not help anyone outside of our area. We were having a problem even getting the test done without symptoms. My wife is an RN at a local hospital and they said no without symptoms. We called our local doctor and he said no without symptoms. We had given up on going to SXM until we saw an ad from a local clinic on Facebook advertising the test with results in 24 hours. We called to make sure it was the proper test and that they would administer it for travel purposes. They did. We did. And here we are.
Carol, We get home Sunday and I will attempt a trip report. I will forewarn you that we are boring. The only thing I will say for now is that the fish on the south end of Orient are more aggressive than I have ever seen them. OUCH!!

What did you have to pay for getting the results in 24-36 hours?? We are in Florida, and if we want results in that timeframe we would have to pay $250.00 pp to get a guarantee thru someplace like Passport Health which some people are saying they have used. Every where else is a 3-5 day turnaround. Not willing to spend another $500.00 to get there anytime soon. Will wait til next year and hopefully things may change.

GaKaye, if what the say is true re: accuracy of rapid test vs rc-pcr u would think it would be a no brainer to stimulate tourism, i for one would pay to have that option. kind of a head scratcher

We paid $30 each to the clinic for the swab and we were told that our insurance would have to cover the lab fee until Oct. 31st. We have not received an EOB so I cannot attest to the accuracy of what we were told.
