Are you taking the redhook ferry direct to JVD or are you going to CA, Tortola, then JVD? That may narrow down suggestions of where to stay.

Best Western Emerald Beach has a good restaurant and a nice beach and beach bar. You could walk to the airport if you wanted to. We get a cab.

If it was me I would stay on STJ instead of STT unless I had a very early flight. The St. John Inn is reasonably priced and will do a one night stay. Easy ferry over to CA in the morning. We have done this post BVI charter the past 4 years.

STJ does not manke any sense as he wants to go from Red Hook to Jost. Why not stay on the east end and avoid a long morning taxi ride?

Yes, but people do it. Not me of course.

Now from Red Hook, that would be a reallllllly long walk. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />

Given the experience my brother and his wife just had there, I would NOT recommend the Island Beachcomber. I thought I had read that it was refurbished a few years ago but their room was the pits. The worst part was the dank and moldy smell. The AC "sounded like a freight train", the fridge was so noisy they disconnected it, the bath tub area moved when you stood in it, the mirror was cracked, the laminate was peeling and the TV remote was missing as was the hairdryer from its rack. It was generally dismal.

Schlepping luggage from BWEB? No. From BW Caribe Beach? Yes.

I would check rates for Windward Passage right across from the ferry dock for the night before Jost, Best Western Caribe Beach for the night before you leave - you can use the facilities at Emerald Beach and you really can just walk across to the airport the day you leave.

We have stayed at Best Western Emerald twice. The second time we did walk from the airport. With just one carry on, not a bad walk but it is a long walk. They have a great out door bar, over looking their great beach. restaurant was also nice. My choice for a one night stay.

My wife and I are planning the same thing on our trip to JVD.
We are staying at the Island View Guesthouse
