5 days are allowed to get a covid free document. You will probably also need one to go from BVI to USVI on the return home.

It’s great that they included the antibody test.

I'm not sure if that is good. That is the test that can sometimes be positive if you've had the cold. And it seems there's still questions around whether you can get it again, how long any immunity lasts..etc. Guess we'll see how it works out.

The antibody test just measures whether you've had it - not at all useful for travel.

I asked in the Vero BEach Florida area and have found no source of getting a covid test in time for a flight.

There has been a lot of news about how long you retain immunity after having the virus. 4 months is well within guidelines. There have been a few, but very few claims of reinfection. A positive antibody test is much better than a regular covid test for determining if someone is safe. A negative Covid test just tells you that at that moment the person did not have a detectable level of virus. Count the 48 hours prior to the test plus the 5 days and someone could interact with a large number of people. I am glad the USVI is using some common sense and sound medical advice.

A quick internet search shows four locations in Vero Beach doing Covid testing, two showing same day results.....
