Thanks Carol and we also hope everyone is safe. We aren’t there now but have a home located between Puerto Morelos and PDC and have been in contact with our friends and neighbors through 0700 hrs today. Wind gusts in that area reported around 110 km/h (70 MPH), no damage in the neighborhood as of that time, but electricity went out around 0430 hrs. They were awaiting the next half of the hurricane when I received the last report at 0700 hrs.
However the central area of the cone is ever so slightly to the north...Storm surge and flooding is also a HUGE concern along the coast from PDC north, and we won’t know the extent of the damage until later.
Hope to have updates from the different areas soon. We expect flooding around our neighborhood as there is just nowhere for the water to go, and we just had that experience again with Gamma. But we are worried most about locals and residents in lower lying areas that are prone to flooding...

Well from early reports Zeta left similar damage as Delta, at least in our neighborhood just north of PDC. Power went out late yesterday afternoon for 1 hour and returned but has since been out since 20:30 hours last night. Branches down and debris but no structural damage...

Doesn't sound too bad. The Yucatan and Louisiana have both seemed to be in the crosshairs this year!! shocked

Please keep us updated when you can. Much appreciated.
Just this past weekend I booked a trip for mid December into an all-inclusive in the Riviera. Hope all will be cleaned up by then. Thanks

Our neighborhood is ok, just needed clean up and no reports of structural damage. Power was restored the next afternoon, we just got our Telmex internet back yesterday. I do see some trees were uprooted at a beach hotel, but the monkeys look happy as ever!
I have also seen some windows were damaged in town and in other areas but still lucky. If I get more updates I will share, watching the next TS forming...

What part of the RM are you staying in?

Cmoores, we’re staying at El Dorado Casitas this trip. First visit was EDR 2001 when I first met Mr Joe and His lovely wife Delores right before they opened the new main reception/entrance building. Amazing what they have done over the years! We were last in Mexico in PDC five years ago. Time flys!

Aah, a very nice Karisma exclusive property! You are about 20 minutes north of our home and in a nice spot.

Latest update from Governor shows Q Roo will remain Yellow for Nov 2 -8 at least -

Thanks, I booked before the latest Covid uptake, not worried as we’ve had very mild cases months ago.
I found this as a source of information, https://themazatlanpost.com/category/mexican-states/quintana-roo
Do you have any other resources for Q Roo news in English?
