On the Sunset webcam you see rocks when Mother Nature takes the sand away. Did Mother Nature or man put the rocks there? If man, for what purpose? Just curious.

To help stop the erosion there are bigger rocks below the ones you see . There would be no road without the rocks . We were there in 1987 and watched the Road almost disappear and there were there then, so it’s been awhile they do the job .

Leslie, I remember one storm the road was completely sand covered and a bull dozer was trying to move the sand and I thought of you and the other people trapped at home there beyond that road. Too bad there wasn't another way out.
