Last Saturday we visited Turtle Lake Resort (Union City, MI) in our RV for a night.
Friends from FL were on a tenting tour around Lake Michigan and we met them there. Website: Link Nice place, very roomy and lots of RV sites were available, as well as some motel rooms. It was very hot so we were glad to have the AC in our motorhome. The place is mostly up and running as allowed by MI COVID protocols. The main activities center and one bathhouse were closed (so stated on the website) but the pool area was fairly crowded on Saturday, not at all on Sunday. Not sure how well the stated pool occupancy guidance of 16 bathers was followed later on but we enjoyed the pool very much in the AM when it was less crowded. The lounge chairs and tables were well spaced. They had a band playing at the pool Saturday night and the area did get crowded inside the pool fence. Staff members were wearing masks in the pool snack bar and at the office where only 4 people were allowed at a time. I did not see anyone else wearing them except ourselves in the bathrooms.

Anyway it was a nice nekkid getaway from all that is happening out in the real world!

My wife & I live in Florida now but have a lake cottage 25 miles away from Turtle. Love that place! Very well run & the employees are so friendly. It was a great place to get our naked fix when we could not be naked at our place. Wear a mask & end this damn virus. smile

We were traveling through MI on a road trip over the 4th of July. We had a great time. Great fireworks, no masks.

Just got back from Turtle Lake yesterday. Spent three nights in one of the Mirror Lake suites. No masks, but not a lot of close gatherings for it to matter. The outdoor DJ got rained out Saturday night, so I assume they moved to the clubhouse, though we didn't want to go into indoor spaces just yet (we are vaccinated, but leery of the Delta variant).

Turtle Lake is always a nice trip for us. We've been going for years. We used to tent camp, but now usually rent one of the Mirror Lake suites. You get older and don't want to set up so much stuff. It was not crowded at all. We went to the outdoor pool many times. It's shallow, but large enough to swim in and the perfect temperature. Brought a grill and had fun cooking. Lots of geese on the property. Fed the fish and some adorable turtles. All in all, a very relaxing trip.
