She won't make the same mistake twice, that's for sure. She's going to have to lock them up this time.

Sure why not lock them up? The PM and government still getting full paychecks while the island is closed and most people desperate and slowly starving. Obviously the island government plans to keep It closed a lot longer while parts of the world and French side slowly opening. Hope this isn’t the blind leading the blind.

Returning students and Dutch nationals returning when their schools closed in Holland is what brought this crap here. They were supposed to self quarantine, but GUESS WHAT? And here we are. PM is doing her best to save lives, in spite of some folks trying to thwart her efforts.

Anguilla is using the 2 week quarantine for its returning residents whenever they decide to reopen their border. Believe this will be the blueprint for most of the Caribbean Islands. It was imported here in first place and as many have said why would a prudent government allow it to happen a second time.

This is certainly instructive for those who still think they are going to travel to SXM in May OR June. They haven't announced WHEN locals will be able to return yet, but they are stating that they have to go into mandatory quarantine for two weeks WHEN they return, so a return of tourists any time soon is not very likely.

The general consensus among Anguillian is Nov at the earliest for tourists and believe that will probably be the date throughout the Caribbean. SXM will probably be the most aggressive but the PM is got a great control on the situation now.

You could well be right, Clifftops. At this point, if it gets into August, it probably doesn't make sense to open places up in August, in the middle of hurricane season. At that point, best to wait until after hurricane season.
