FlexJets are rentals. Private jets (few and far between) have continued to come to SXM via the FBO facility, I believe.

Airport remains open for medical, cargo, military, repat. flights

Princess Juliana International Airport remains open and operational for for medical, cargo, military and repatriation flights. Repatriation flights can come into the airport to collect, but not bring in, passengers.

All flights need landing permission from the prime minister in advance due to the state of emergency.

No commercial flights (read regular flights) are scheduled. However, this will change once the travel restrictions are lifted.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, local and international governments have introduced measures to prevent the spread of the virus.Travel restrictions have resulted in the cancellation of all commercial flights into and out of St. Maarten for an indefinite period.

Pretty much like everywhere, especially if one is not near a hub city. I am 12 miles form the local airport (DAY) and it is a rarity to hear anything other than a private plane now. with 12 or 24 flights cancelled today, the regional jets are few and far between.

Since we are talking about things flying. This balloon from Project Loon has been cruising around the islands providing internet. https://flightaware.com/live/flight/HBAL111/history/20200418/2048Z
