Thanks for posting. I like the old reminders from people that have been going much longer than I have.
I will never forget our first time on the island in 1991 off a cruise. We did a tour (with Junior) and made stops at I think Dawn Beach ($1 beers), Orient Beach (probably Pedro's & $1 beers again) a then a stop at Mullet Bay. I knew then we were going back but the really funny thing was getting a beer at the bar on the beach there at Mullet Bay. I had bought a round at one stop, $3 for 3 beers + tip. My BIL bought a round at the next stop, again $3 for 3 beers + tip. It was then Ronalee's dad's turn to buy so he ordered 3 beers at the beach bar at Mullet Bay and lays down $5. The server then says, "sorry, but the beers are $4 each". Her dad about has a fit as we were used to the $1 beers or $3 for a round and he gets hit with a $12 round!
Seeing the old brochure from MBBR inspired me to pull out this old brochure from the Summit. This is circa 1975 or so. If you look at the background scenery in some of the pictures you'll see this was before Pointe Pirouette was built and there are almost no homes on any of the hills. It was truly a beautiful island back then.
