We usually go to SXM in the middle of May because it is very slow over on Orient Beach. As it looks like our May trip will be cancelled, what are the other very slow months? Is September slow?

Mid Sept and Oct are peak hurricane season. If a hurricane isn't coming , it is the rainy season.

November is one of our favorite months. It's not real slow, but not overcrowded either. And, unless you get a really late season hurricane like Lenny back in 1999 then hurricane season is essentially done. Weather charts sometimes indicate slightly higher than normal precipitation in November, but I have actually encountered more rain in February, March and April than I have in November. Plus, lodging prices are usually decent prior to December 1st.

Drich--September is very slow, yes, but the height of hurricane season. Not sure I would plan a trip for September. November is a lovely time, as far as weather, and before Thanksgiving week, is normally pretty uncrowded. Who knows what the situation will be this year though.
