Is anyone thinking about wearing a surgical mask while in the international airports? I always freak out when I see masks on travelers but I am thinking it might not be an overreaction with this corona virus outbreak.

Have not given it a thought and probably won't.

Our doctor said people with illness should wear a mask then they will be coughing, sneezing into that mask. But if you're not ill it won't keep germs out, just in.

Correct. Comes in through eyes, mouth and hose from touching.

We'll be taking them with us, but I don't know if we'll use them. And, the N95 masks do keep most of the germs out, but not totally effective.

They only work to keep you from infecting others. Not for protection from the virus or other germs. This is just so ridiculous of people's reaction to this. Just wash hands and don't touch nose or eyes.

https://www.statnews.com/2020/04/02/coronavirus-cloth-masks-recommendation/

Whitehouse expected to recommend all to wear a facemask of some sort in public.

A town in Texas passed a rule that it is mandatory that people wear a face mask or will face a $1,000 fine.

Then the governments should have them readily available in those cities.

Every mask on Amazon isn't available for shipping until April 25 to middle of May. One was available next week but all 6 reviews had 1 star and very bad comments. Luckily we still have unused masks from when Mt St Helen's blew and my good buddy in construction sent me some very good ones.
