These guys are a riot on Facebook! Love following their trips when on island. Have an alarm set to watch!

We know Dean and I bet this will be fun. Probably two years before we get to see it though.

Our DVD is set. I see them on Facebook all the time. My wife and I refer to them as the "Selfie Kings". Same angle and pose in every picture. Just different setting. It's like they've photo shopped them selves at different places. LOL

Any idea when this would have been filmed?

I met them in June, and they were on island filming at that time.

Set to record...
Caribbean Life... Strong Opinions and Strong Drinks on St. Maarten After vacationing on St. Maarten for years, a couple wants to make the island their home, but they both have strong views about what they want and need to choose how much work they're willing to put into a property.

Watching this will definitely want me to go back this fall. My wife said to me last night "well, with this latest hit to the island we're just going to have go back again." I truly hope that many of the businesses on St. Martin carried some form of "business interruption insurance" ... especially after the devastating effects of Irma. The difference this time will be that re-construction won't be necessary.

I stayed up to watch... Even though I had it set to record. I won't spoil it for those who will watch at a later time. I was very disappointed in all four properties. There are so many awesome properties on the Dutch side in their price range.

I agree with you. I know of all the properties they looked at. They were kind of misleading. When I see those properties from the outside, I get an image in your mind on what they must look like on the inside. I'm not saying they're not beautiful, just not what I was expecting. Staying at BSV all these years, I"m partial to Simpson Bay. I have friends that rented a villa one year in Pointe Piroette and they were beautiful. Just not for me, I love the beach. I certainly enjoy their posts on Facebook as people said before. I hope they're happy with the choice they made.

Surprised where they did purchase. Wish them the best.

Kim--It seems that usually the properties other than the one the person ends up picking are just put-up jobs, not properties that were even under consideration by the person(s). Often it's just a property that the owner or the realtor wants to show off to a possible future buyer. And just because they don't show properties on the show in a certain area, doesn't mean that there weren't properties shown in that area.

It's entertainment. Have several friends who have been on these shows over the years and all have said it's make believe. Our neighbors filmed a year after they moved in.

I'll be watching it today. Nothing else to do being confined to quarters.

I just watched it and the DVR cut off right after they said the price that was turned down........
I was also a little disappointed at the homes that they showed----But I'm sure it will be beautiful.
I alway ssee them on Facebook and they definitely look like a fun couple. They no sooner returned home, but were back in SXM. Lots of selfies....

I thought it was odd that they said the zoo on SXM was the largest in the Caribbean. Wasn't it blown away by Irma?

I've been on several ziplines in the Caribbean and was surprised to learn that the steepest one is in St. Maarten.
