Looking around at flights and found Boston to SXM in May on Saturdays at $67 - Jet Blue basic with all that entails, but still, yowza.

But through Fll from what I saw. Looks like no flights from JFK on Tuesday’s Wednesday’s or Thursdays in May!!

Sounds like a repositioning flight!

Given how few recovery flights JetBlue operated to return their passengers from SXM to the US compared to other airlines, and given their apparent invocation of Force Majeure in order to keep from giving refunds for cancelled flights, you need to decide two things. One is whether or not you have respect for them as an airline with which you want to do business. The other is whether or not you can live with their recent practices and policies. Perhaps the two are one and the same.

I’ve been doing a very polite battle with Jet Blue over the past few days attempting to receive a refund as opposed to a travel bank credit. They have never been my preferred carrier but for a price of $67.00 they might become my favorite.

As previously suggested, they are pushing the Force Majeure clause which to me is really their way of stealing my money. And this on top of our miserable flight home last November that got us into JFK at approx. 3 am instead of our scheduled 8pm arrival. And truthfully, dealing with them in the past has been okay but AA has always treated me more fairly.

On second thought, even at $67.00 I’d have to think about it.

Respectfully,

pat

People here had been claiming how Jet Blue was 'all that' for a while, but this situation just shows that they are what I have been saying for a while, they are just another airline. They do what they think is in THEIR best interest, and screw the customer. Even though AA is my favorite airline, I personally would still book that airfare from FLL on Jet Blue, if it were available and I wanted to go and I COULD go. I personally am very grateful that they started flying from FLL though, as it has seriously reduced the rates on AA!!!!

my guess....67 is a steal....but it is also a ripoff if the island is not back to receiving visitors by then. As the numbers of sick continue to rise daily....the LAST thing the people of SXM will want is more people coming to the island. i do hope a ''miracle'' will happen before now and then....but unless the island is back fully.....the beaches are reopened......and the restaurants are allowed to operate normally....this cheap vacation will be far from what people are now used to. My bet is that it surely won't happen by May.

If the beaches aren't reopened or the restaurants, I can't imagine that there will be any flights scheduled to come in, except for SXM residents coming home, which they aren't even allowing now. And I don't see that happening very soon. Not that it matters, but I'm assuming that's each way and that basically covers the TAXES and that's it.. Maybe those are supposed to be repatriation flights?
