He was on the Delta flight to Atlanta today. Was just going to check, flight has probably landed in Atlanta by now.

Thanks. In ATL now.
Left SXM an hour late due to Delta gate agents in ATL allowing 3 US citizens to board and travel to SXM. The incoming US citizen ban started TODAY! 3 on the ATL flight and 1 on the JFK flight today. Only 5 inbound passengers from ATL and 3 should not have been allowed to board. Tell me that is not incompetence.
I will make a separate post tomorrow and relay some information the flight attendant gave me.

And one got seated in Delta Comfort and got free drinks!
The flight attendant I talked to said there would be a very serious discussion with the ATL gate agent who boarded them.

I always see posted here "Use common sense and you will be ok" But what were these 3 passengers thinking going outside the US at a time like this? And when did they think they were going to catch a plane back?

Yep. Pretty amazing but it is proven time and time again, YOU CAN NOT FIX STUPID!
I will say, the pilot did an excellent job making up some time. He taxied the entire length of the SXM runway to take off over MAHO and it was pretty fast.. Taxi to the gate in ATL was pretty fast as well.

Got into DAY about 15 minutes early last night on a MD-88 with less than 30people on board. Kudos to Delta for flying that small number of people.
Thanks everyone for your concern.
I have some banking an other things (groceries if I can find any) to tend to this morning and then I will make a separate post regarding the Delta situation that should not have happened.

JD. I got boarding passes printed. You were right about lady in the back room. She was someone I had never met. I asked for help and she told me she was not allowed to help. I asked the Alliah at the front desk and she came back to help. When I asked lady in back her name and introduced myself she responded with "Oh you're Mrs Stapleford!"

Good deal. Even you couldn't smooze her! Another possible tip, even though I had the same boarding passes you have, the counter agent still insisted on printing new ones or suggested I should have used a kiosk. I would still feel better having checked in online as you have. The line moved pretty slow yesterday but it was due to them checking in the JFK flight first. Once that was done, it was pretty smooth. I do not think there is a JFK flight today. I was just going to message you and see what was going on. Good luck.

JD-Glad you were able to get home OK. As you said, glad they flew the plane into Dayton with so few people onboard. Amazing, what a moron gate agent in Atlanta, and who KNOWS what those people were thinking, flying down? My GUESS is that they perhaps own property in SXM and somehow thought the ban didn't apply to them???
