https://www.caribbeannationalweekly...-affected-countries-will-be-quarantined/

Well, all visitors arriving from COVID 19 countries have to self quarantine in rooms for 14 days.

That’s one way to get everyone to cancel. I cancelled my April 1 trip to CSS yesterday.

Resorts are starting to close. The Royalton has closed already. See http://jamaica-gleaner.com/article/...t-bartlett-us-advisory-final-nail-coffin for a list of others closing soon.

All arrivals in Jamaica June 15-30 are tested AT the airport, no cost. They expect you to stay at resort until results come back. If you test positive you will be taken to a Government quarantine facility for 2 weeks at Your expense. Most trip insurance will probably not cover this.
These policies could change when Phase 2 of reopening starts July 1.

If you look at the web sight i provided it gives you up to date information from the Jamaican Government.

Travelers to Jamaica are reporting conditions are getting better at the airport and more folks are arriving.

I believe the closures are due to lack of customers and they are consolidating to make it more cost effective. However...there are several people who were at CSS in July who got ill and came home positive. One wife is hospitalized now.

This is some scary stuff.

Our family just booked the wedding trip to CSA for our middle daughter for next June. Hope things get a little closer to normal by then.

Yes, I hope so, for everyone's sake. I for one will be very happy to see 2020 go bye-bye!
