Pricing flights flying out of EIS at the end of April.
I can get a good price flying Seabourne to SJU and than United on to Chicago.
I usually book everything though one carrier ...I like that if there is an issue that carrier finds a way to get you where you need to be, but going this route is less expensive.
I know Seabourne was recently bought by Silver...which I do not hear great things about.
What would you all do? Book separate or go w one carrier? Cape Air is too pricey for this trip.

Any and all comments and experiences appreciated!

I always book separate and take the risk if the savings is big enough.

Just be prepared for cancellation and delays with Seaborne. On Sunday they cancelled the last flight on us and 12 other people (not enough people to make the flight profitable?) and the 1045 the next day was delayed by 45 minutes. We had a prepaid hotel in San Juan Sunday that we lost .We made our own arrangements after waiting 90+minutes without any indication of what was happening and stayed at Lambert Bay. They put some people up at the hotel next to the Moorings after a 2 hour wait. The delay yesterday Made our SJU connection a mad dash thru the airport They also did not load one of our checked bags at EIS. It made its way to us today via Jet Blue.

This is the second year in a row that Seaborne has made our trip home somewhat miserable. From now on we wil go to STT and take the ferry and stick with the big planes there.

Just booked Intercaribbean but coming in and out we are overnighting in SJU, so not much risk of a missed connection. Even with the hotel costs it was a bit cheaper than DIA -STT, and no effin ferries to deal with.

Me again....has anyone flown Silver/Seabourne to the island from SJU? If I fly the red eye out of Chicago I arrive 4:40 am and I can be on their 1st flight which saves the ferry and customs at the airport is easier.
Arriving on the island earlier would be nice, but I can also do a direct to STT and ferry over. The red eye is less miles.
Ugh....I hate this part of travel!

Yes. Probably 15 or 20 flights last year.

We tried that a few months ago. Didn’t go well. We arrived at 4:30 am on the red eye from Houston, with a connecting flight on Seaborne at 7:30 am. Planned to use the lounge, to which we were entitled by Gold status and a pass. Lounge wouldn’t let us in. Then Seaborne sent our plane to Dominica, because they had failed to fly there the day prior. By the time they got back, it was early afternoon, as I recall.

A few weeks ago, we stayed overnight and were booked on the 7:30 am flight. They rescheduled us for later in the morning, and were still late. The Seaborne counter lady in San Juan told me the 7:30 am flight no longer exists.
