There is a very large white yacht (Eclipse size) moored off Simpson Bay. No signal on Marine Traffic website. Transponder probably off. Anyone know anything about it?

It is not Eclipse. If it is Ocean Victory it is the first time in a week and a half that I have seen it.

Ok.....I will revise. According to Marine traffic (assuming it's accurate and it usually is) Eclipse and Ocean Victory were in the Bay yesterday when I checked around 1pm. They are still there.

Ocean Victory was there when we arrived on 1/12 and was still there when we left on 1/26. I checked last week and it was there. SO it has been there MOST of the month.

From my unit at SBR I can see the whole bay and it is quite obvious when ships arrive and depart AND which ones hang around

It was neither Eclipse or Ocean Victory. I could see both of those. This one did not register on screen. Still there this am. Garage door open. It is/was seaward of Ocean Victory and Eclipse. I am at LaVista Beach.

Saw Eclipse today. I don’t know what Ocean Victory looks like but from Bluesfan’s post I now think I know which one it is.

May be solved. Large white yacht now shows on Marine traffic as Eclipse. Probably Abromovitch's new yacht. Old blue hull Eclipse not here. That boat had been taking day trips. Test sails for prospective buyers?

There is no "new" Eclipse. It is the same ship and has been in the Bay on and off for a couple of months. It takes frequent short trips to ST. Barts (it's there now) and then returns in a couple/few days. Here is a pic from 2012

Bluesfan: Maybe you are thinking of Limitless which is a rather large (but over 200 ft. shorter the Eclipse) beast and is white over a blue bottom. Limitless has been and is docked in the lagoon side for quite some time.

What was the blue yacht with the lighted portholes along the waterline? I thought that was Eclipse.

Le Grand Bleu? It has a sailboat and a powerboat on the aft deck.

Tried to post a link, but it's not working....
