It was an awesome day on Club O Beach. I heard they just got a new shipment of chairs and were just unloading them. We arrived at 10 Am and almost every chair/ umbrella was taken. Plenty of parking too. Perch lite for lunch was good and the beach was very wide. We had our own chairs and sat passed the volleyball court.

Glad you are there and enjoying the beach. If you think about it, take a look at the loungers and let me know if they have a supplier label on them. My wife's aunt and uncle's company used to supply them, it is now run by their son as they have both passed. Enjoy and thank you.

How early do you need to arrive on the beach to assure that you get a chair?

Not sure, magpie but 10:00 a.m. should do it. Are the newest chairs equipped with cushions, or are these the strap type chairs that need a blanket draped over them?

Thanks. That is the company that was started by my wife's aunt and uncle and now owned by their son. I knew they did the loungers a long time ago but was unsure if they still did. The company was named after their kids, Mike and Lori, hence MILOR.

Depends on the time of year. We go in December and by 10:30 most of the front chairs are taken. We usually arrive around 9:00 and reserve several chairs for our late sleeping friends.

Chilly in May? We have been going in May for about 20 years and can't believe how hot it is most days. We have also visited other times of the year and can't tell the difference from one month to another. My wife's cousin lives Hawaii and told us the difference between Winter and Summer is about 3 degrees. I always thought it was about the same in St. Martin. Am I wrong?

Water temps are a lot warmer in May than January through April and continue to get warmer all through summer.

I think he was using the word chill as in laid back. Not as big a crowd so no rushing to get a spot in the AM.

We get to the beach just after sunrise and have our choice. If you go too late you're missing a beautiful view. The walk from Esmeralda is nice, too, even though it was much nicer just strolling out the front door at Club O.

Yes, we’ll miss just walking out of our unit at Club O and walking the length of Orient then going for a swim afterwards. My wife also liked being able to go back to the room to use the “facilities” if needed. We’ll likely return to SXM next year for the first time since Irma to celebrate a milestone anniversary.
