Do they have anything going on in the evenings?

Nope, not from my past experiences. The bar shuts down tight around 4:30 or so and they collect the beach chairs around that time. You can still lay out on Maho beach (when the sand is sufficient), and there are other places around where you can grab a bite to eat. Unless somewhere out there knows something to the contrary, not much going on here in the later afternoons thru the evenings.

That's a shame. They used to be open later. Driftwood does stay open later. Wonderful sunsets from Driftwood and usually music, recorded, not live..

We went for dinner one night about 5:30 a couple weeks ago, and it was busy with people watching the sunset. But no live music or anything later that I have seen. And I find the walk from the Royal Islander over to Sunset Bar on Maho Beach creepy at night in the dark.

It seems to be two unique areas...the Beach Bar and the inside bar area. You can't get parking validated at the Beach bar but you can inside....hours must be different
