Hi All......a friend was just asking me about Dawn Beach [Westin]. I didn't know what to tell her, I do know that it was hit really hard by the hurricane and repairs were being done. Is the resort back open? if it is, has anyone on here stayed there since the repairs. How is the rest of the area? We didn't venture over there last March, so I don't know what to tell her about the rest of the area pertaining to activities, restaurants...etc. Any insight will be much appreciated....thanks

I just edited the title.......for someone that has been going to the island since 1987 I don't really know if Dawn Beach Club and Westin are the same place or 2 different places, we don't spend much time in that area. The friend asking said Dawn Beach Club. Sorry...I am confused. But if anyone knows the answer/answers, I would appreciate it.

Pretty sure the Westin is still not open and not sure if anything is going on there.

I thought I heard that part of the Westin was open. Not sure if it was the Hotel or Timeshare.

Dawn Beach Club is the timeshare. Westin is the hotel next door on the same property.

Timeshare and pool are open, hotel is closed - last I heard anyway.
