Anybody know anything about Delta not flying Direct in Sept into STT? Looked up flights week of Sept 16 and they are flying into SJU with connections thru Cape Air in SJU. Anyone else notice that? Whats up? Dont' like that it was my only 1 stop flight from OMA to STT.

It used to be delta had a 5:30 am fl from OMA to ATL and then to STT. Looks like they have discontinued that flight. So I will have to book 2 separate legs OMA to ATL and ATL to STT. that gives me 30 min from wheels down to wheels up between flights. Don't like that! Hate the AAA cattle car. Trying to do it in one stop. Travel sites route me from OMA to ATL to SJU to STT.. grrr. this is Sept for sons honeymoon. Any other suggestions? Hate to over night.. adds to expense. The joys of living in the heartland!

I believe they still have flight 571 going from ATL to STT in Sept. I know they change around flights during the off season and seem to drop from 2 flights per day to one.

My connection from OMA does not land until 9:14, gives me less than 25 min and that is the only flight to STT that day. Fear missing connection. Previously had 45 minutes and could do that. Looks like the AAA cattle car. ugh... NO flights thru us air on Mondays. May have to have a night over on sun.

what is AAA cattle car? This is why we break the trip into 2 segments, yes it takes an extra day, but you arrive in paradise at a reasonable hour.

Per Kayak, it appears there are some flights on AA but 2 stops each way. Price was 584 pp. If they have to stay overnight in ATL, there is a nice SpringHill Suites & a Marriott right outside the ATL airport and you use the SkyTrain to get to the hotel. Also tons of hotels that have shuttles. Delta looks to be very expensive (367+490) to do it in 2 nonstop legs & spend night -- the kids are young & strong & smart, I am sure, so just send them AA.

Thanks everyone. They have decided to over night in ATL going down and hope to get a one stop flight coming back. Expensive but it's worth it to get there early in the day. The connections to get to paradise when you are landlocked are not the most convenient!
