Wow where to start! 15 minutes early. Arrived at noon. 10 minutes to customs & getting our bags. There was Gus, waving his arms. Love coming in across the bay & then he’s there waiting. Crossed to friars bay road no issues. Had our groceries picked up, clothes away & drinking wine by 4.
Dinner at Bistro de la Mer. Lovely meal. Lots of traffic in Marigot during dinner. When we were at super u I saw that Goldfinger was open again. Very happy. Right on the corner. Lots of lights in parking lot near Tropicana. A few cars there. Lots of activity around L’Arhawak, & bistro de la mer & a local bbq there. Sitting outside soaking in the soft velvet air. Think it’s 78 but no breeze.
Hope the photo works. Will continue another day. We have been up since 3 am to do a 6:20 am flight.
Nite all!

Bordeaux superieur from France. It is excellent, very smooth. 5 litres approx $ 27 US. The regular Bordeaux was about $1 less money so we went superieur!
We flew air transat from Toronto at 6:20 am Canadian time & landed just before 12 st maarten time.
Going to try to post wai' plage photos. Quite the place to be. See separate post.

Love those direct flights to SXM from Toronto....last year we paid 497.00 each for that same flight....this year we are flying Tues to Tues out of toronto...a bit later flight, but will still be in SXM by 2-3pm...597.00 this year....still awesome price to get to our favourite island, No connecting flights is the best! Tuesday to Tuesday is Westjet not Air transat. Have fun on your trip, how can you not??!!! smile

We don't necessarily prefer airtransat over westjet. It amounts to price difference & time of day to arrive. We come Saturday to Saturday usually & we are here by noon. If we took westjet sunday we have to spend next day getting supplies in.

I have no preference either....except I do like the earlier arrival. We will arrive at 3:15 which will give us lots of time to get a few supplies to hold us over till next day. I am so looking forward to a longer stay this time on the island. Hope your trip is great. Cheers
