We stayed there a long time ago. I think Studio PINEL was where we stayed, which is upstairs from Tintamarre. The porch was the BEST part of the unit, as it had an ocean view and it was huge. It was very private and we often didn't wear any clothes out there. I don't know whether Tintamrre would have an ocean view from the terrace there or not. I don't know whether they have done any renovations since we stayed there or not, as the pictures look about the same. At the time, as I recall, the lady owner did not speak any English, only French, which was somewhat difficult for stupid Americans like us who speak no French. The parking was fine, and there weren't many people there when we were there. As I recall, way back then, we had to do some weird thing with the deposit, made it in person on a stay before our scheduled stay, but it worked out OK. It was a long time ago, so don't remember a lot about it, but it was walking distance from the Village, if you don't know where it is, exactly.

Carol, can you use the pool nude? To make sure there were no kids there, we could rent the Pinel unit which I believe is the only unit that accommodates more than 2 people.

DSSS--if you decide to rent there, I would do Pinel unit regardless. It is the largest and the outdoor balcony is great. As far as using the pool nude, my instinct would be to say 'no', although frankly I don't actually remember being in the pool at all there, although I assume we were. I think the link posted is to Verne's site. He is very good about answering questions. I would ask him.

Pelican--as I said, it's been a long time since we stayed there. I would ask Verne any questions you might have.

We stayed there a few years ago, the units are clean, have kitchens, the owner LuLu speaks a little english, there is a pool. My friend has been staying there twice a year for many years. Hope this helps.

We stayed there a while back and it was a great location. We, also, stayed in Pinel. The unit is clean and the bedroom a little claustrophobic but it worked I especially liked the deck. Large and very nice. LuLu speaks some English. I don't know if her husband, Henri, is still alive, I'd heard he was ill, but he was adorable and always nodding his head 'yes' and had no clue what we were saying. Nice people.

We stayed there for a couple of weeks in February and it was fine. The unit we had was clean and the kitchen very adequate. Lulu, the owner was very nice, speaks some English and takes only cash. We paid for our entire stay the day we arrived. Since we are Club O refugees, I would forget and walk on my balcony nude. There were not many people around and it was not a problem but I do not know what her official policy is. If you find out, please post. We did not use the pool so I’m not sure about that. The location is great, only a short walk to the village. We will be there next month for a couple of weeks. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

As I said, it was a long time ago we stayed there, so I probably got it messed up, that she spoke some English and he did not.

We were given a tour of the property last April. LouLou is very sweet and speaks some English. At the time we were staying at Jardin d’O and were looking for something reasonable for the month of February. The unit we looked at (Tintamarre) was actually occupied at the time but the folks staying there let us have a look. Very functional and very clean. The grounds were also very clean and well taken care of. Pool area was immaculate. We will be spending the month of Feb. there and looking forward to our stay. We won’t be spending $ on a car since the property is so close to the village! Brad

Chinacat--since someone else asked in this thread, did you ask LouLou if you could use the pool nude?

I didn’t ask her about being nude at the pool. I’m quite certain however that I read somewhere (might have been a listing for the property?) that it was NOT clothing optional. Brad

OK, that was what I thought, but would be interested to hear the answer after your trip.
