Hi, We have the late AA flight tomorrow (Sunday) and are thinking of not checking our carryons to speed things up in MIA. (we have Global Enttry). So that leaves the question of what to do with our luggage on Sunday, assuming that we don't want to leave it in the car while we visit the beach and/or restaurant. Has anyone found a good place to stow their bags near the airport for a few hours? Thanks, Chuck and Joni

Spend the day at karakters. They have stored luggage for patrons in the past. Depending on where your staying you might ask if they will store it for you.

The name of the beach bar is Karakter. No "s".

While I have not done it myself, my understanding is that Mary's Boon will also hold your bags. Since they are right next door to each other, you could try MB and if that is a no-go, head next door to Karakter. Although the last I knew, Karakter had that LOUD music playing on Sundays. Not sure if they still do that or not??? That would be a real turn off to me, personally.

Thanks! U gave me an idea. Since we have no bathing suits with us I wonder if anyone has schlepped suitcases down to Dany's at Cupecoy? We are at Orient, Residence Adam n Eve and want to get over to near the airport, given the current situation.

I personally wouldn't know. Haven't been to Cupecoy in years.

Carol, and Scuba, your 2 suggestions are perfect especially since we used AAA car rental and their lot is right there too! Many thanks!

Chuck--OK, I thought AAA was on White Sands Road, down from Beachside Villas? Or they used to be. You cannot get to Karakter from White Sands Road. You have to go out by the airport and come in the other side.

Ok, hopefully Chuck hasn't already left! I'm thinking he's not been to Karakter before.

Guessing he probably has, as most places have a 10 am checkout. I'm sure he'll figure it out as soon as he gets there! Although if he chooses Mary's Boon, he may not, as the road does continue past that.

Lunch at Mary's Boon, nice way to end our stay Chuck, you do realize that you have to go back out on the main road and go past the airport to get to AAA's office, right?

Yes. That's where we picked up and dropped off the car. A slight pain but it only took a few minutes and Myra had us back at the airport. Before I had the mistaken impression that Mary's Boon was reachable from that way, i.e. the road continued past Beach VIllas. Wrong! But it worked out great passing the time at MB, had a nice lunch.

Glad that it worked out OK after all. I knew that they used to be there by BSV. It's very convenient for us when staying there, as we just drive by the office on the way to the airport.

BTW, Chuck, could you tell if there was loud music coming from Karakter yesterday? In the past, they have had parties on Sunday with very loud music.

Carol, did not notice any music from Karakter but we were at Mary's Boon which had it's own music, not loud though. We left at 2 so maybe there was some later.
