We are scheduled for landing January 4th for 4 weeks French side. Still going. We were there January 6th 2018 right after Irma & it was a great trip. I'm thinking back then more people were desperate than now with fewer jobs. So onward we go. Will be sure to let you know what's happening. Sounds like right now you can go from airport through Cole bay to Marigot. We shall see. That's 18 days away.

Best wishes, jeepers! We will see what happens between now and then, but as of now, I personally would still be going..

We're booked for 2 weeks beginning Jan 4 as well. The first week is in an apartment in Grand Case, with the second week at Divi. We're still planning to make the trip, figuring if by some chance we shouldn't stay in Grand Case we'll find somewhere last minute on the Dutch side.

Our 4 week stay in Orient Village starts on December 27 and we have no plans of cancelling. Like you, we were there Dec/Jan after Irma and had a great trip.

We are staying in Orient Village starting Jan.2 for 2 weeks and see no reason to alter our plans as of today. We have always viewed our time on the island as a chance to have some great meals, soak up a lot of sun and be able to experience more of this island's culture that is so different from our daily lives. Witnessing the struggles that they are going through is part of the experience for us. Two trips ago, visiting with the owner of the Summit as they were bulldozing the remains of his property and staying in a studio at Palm Court when there was nothing but a couple rooms on the property; those are valued memories right alongside the days on the beach and the great meals in the village.

Look into Logans Run. We have stayed there a couple of times and have 2 different reservations with them again May and July. I know there are available weeks there now. Nice fully equipped 2 bed private Villa just across from La Vista.

We are staying in an AirBnB in Oyster Pond Jan 22 to Feb 5. Thanks in advance for the information and reports. That will be invaluable. Jim
