Remember the old Andy Griffith show about the Miracle Salve?

Several stores in town with hawkers that rotate from one store to another are really getting pushy and very annoying pushing their miracle product for your skin. Politely saying no and moving on does little as they almost push the free sample into your hand. Some of the business located near or across the street from these people have said their customers feel harassed and it may have cost them business.

I am all for people making a living but have a little respect and when a person says "No thank you", accept it and let them go. Don't follow them and push your sample into their hadn and then insist they come in for a "free" treatment.

Yes. They are quite annoying. A simple NO doesn't work with them.

Yes, there have been stories in the DH about them. Like a lot of other things, it seems people get away with whatever on SXM.

Yes. I remember that article. Lots of talk and no action.

I remember last year. I always feel badly turning people down, so I stopped for a brief moment, let them give me the samples, and started to walk away. However, they literally grabbed me and steered me into the store. There I was bombarded by two other people applying lotions and potions to my face ! Lol. Took me quite a while to escape. But, yes, I agree. No means no.

After repeated attempts of being polite, I tried a different approach that made my wife mad. After seeing her polite attempts were not working, she went to another option that didn’t work well either.

My husband thinks I am rude to them, but they don't accept no. I like the "measles" or some other malady to get rid of them. Makes me want to go straight to the business across the street and give them business, though. But with the amount of those skin care stores, I would be shopping more than I want to.
