Well we have settled in our villa .. beautiful place La Nina.. we had stayed at sister villa La Pinta a few years back with a larger group and really loved so decided to try the smaller version. No complaints here. After unpacking and getting provisions we opted to go to Port Cupecoy for dinner. We ate at Mama Pizza and more. Most resturants were dead in but this place was busy always a good sign. Felt bad for Marios not a sole inside while we sat and ate. Nice atmosphere had never dined in there before ..the food was excellent. The service was very slow but part us americans in how we devour and conquer and part they were slammed. After walked around Maho .. somewhat busy, casino was hopping. Today well.... had no idea .. we drove to Philipsburg and guess what it is sunday no cruise ship and no open business.. It is a major Indian holiday we are told so everything closed. Wow my husband saved some money today! So off to Chesterfields for a late lunch. I had the Chonch fritters very different from anywhere I have had them before but very good and had the steak salad and the steak was excellent, very tender and nicely spiced. Husband had a burger and he said it was the best he has had in a while and the fries just like he likes them. The other couple had a seafood plate they split and no complaints there.. Back to villa and a swim and a nap and will go watch the sunset with my husband of 42 years on the beach .. I am in heaven

Unless something has changed very recently, there is nothing at Le Galion. Enjoy Anguilla and thanks for the reports.

Nothing but lots of seaweed at Le Galion.

Patty--the villa looks beautiful! Enjoy! Do hope you get the picture situation figured out.
As the others said, nothing at Le Galion now. Someone here posted a while ago that it was kinda scary during the week, as no one is there. On weekends, local families go there, and the vibe is different, but don't go during the week.

We had a great day on Anguilla .. we normally book a sail when we come but we opted to go via ferry. The fee leaving is $20.00 PP and $5.00 tax .. we arrived from Marigot in 20 mins short ride … We then rented a cab which I thought was expensive $52.00 round trip.. he dropped us off on Shoal bay at Hanks chairs were free and they served drinks and food.. we spent the entire day ..cab driver picked us up at 4:00 and we made the 4:30 ferry. The beach there is 2 miles long and it is beautiful. The water was a little rough not as rough as Mullet yesterday . Today off to Pinel and later celebrate an island friends birthday..
