How do you know that? Is there a good forecasting website for north swells anywhere? Thanks for any advice!

The Weather Channel gives you the information. Type in Charlotte Amalie VI and click on the daily weather.

Knob has posted a good link. The swell forecasts are much more accurate than the weather and wind forecasts since the swell originates off the NE US. G

The best source for weather, other than NOAA, is: https://spaghettimodels.com/and https://www.windy.com/18.070/-63.090?17.613,-63.918,7 Swell forecasts, offshore winds, seas, etc.

Ouch, I have friends starting their first charter in the BVI. Looks like a N swell the entire week for them.

6 feet swell during the 4 hour sail from Salt Pond Bay, St John to Christiansted, St Croix this morning. A bit lumpy in the anchorage.

Be choosy about your anchorage or mooring field and North Swell doesn't really carry much power over a charter sail. Might direct or re-arrange some of your routing choices, but no reason to interfere with your pleasure
A sad remainder from the 2017 Hurricane season is that only Leverick is alive and well in North Sound.
North Sound is hugely " charter central" for flat water comfort. I really don't want to think of what might happen in North Sound if VG airport challenged EIS.

I have never really had a issue with a moderate swell in the Anegada anchorage. Charter company is advising against friends going. Anyone had a issue there with a swell right out of the North?
