There seemed to be some interest in this so I thought I'd throw it together and map the results for SXM too. It might be fun to see how the TTOL membership for SXM fans looks. Again, there may be members in your own town you don't even know! I'll map the results and then you can see where members live. I think it will be cool to see on a map. If you want to participate in this experiment, fill out this brief form. I'll load them into a BatchGeo map and post in a week or so. Let me know if there are any questions. Here's the link to the form.

PS It might be helpful if this could be pinned to the top for a week also?

Done. Thanks Jeff.

Carol - as mentioned earlier, this really should have some kind of permanent web link, as everyone here will enjoy checking it out. Maybe we'll get some of the anons to register now.

charlie--I don't know how this works precisely, but I think that Jeff will need to be the one to post the link, once he has it going, with several entries.

Again, thanks Jeff for volunteering.

By the way, if anyone here in the SXM forum sent their info on the other thread that I closed, you will still need to send it to Jeff also in order for it to be posted on the SXM member map. Sorry.

OK, it turns out that the free application only allows 250 entries, which I expect we will blow through in a couple of days, so I suspect that we need to re-think this whole thing and see if there is something else we can do...

I am happy to take it on, it was really quite easy once you dug into it. Let me dig into the next layer tomorrow, and see if the upgrade version will allow more entries. And yes, I'll post the map link when completed in a few days. Please stand by!

The Pro Version does support up to 15,000 markers, but it carries a price tag that is a little steeper than I anticipated. If we get more than the 250 markers allowed, I am exploring options for multiple maps. In other words it could be segregated into West/Midwest/East, etc. You will still be able to determine the more populated areas, and see where fellow TTOL brethren are near you.

Let me see how the response goes and it may just be that I post 2-3 maps. I will let everyone know the results early next week. Let's keep this going!

Yes, the pro version is really expensive. I would think that, since the NE US has a big percentage of our members, that area by itself would go over 250 entries.

Maybe I will have to tackle it like the NCAA Tournament! East/South/Midwest/West... It will certainly be interesting!

Jeff - looks like you're "the guy" to work on this. Very good concept of regional maps. In the case of states like NY or MA, you may end up needing a map just for those states.

However, very good thinking as anyone interested in a particular region could click on it as long as they are labeled.

You sure you're from Missouri? By the way, what part of MO?

Rock Chalk indeed. I've had 2 great trips to KC and Lawrence and went to 2 games at AFH. Have covered much of MO which is why I was curious. My first serious girlfriend was from St Louis and my best friend from my Vanderbile days was from St Louis.

I even know how to pronounce Olathe.

Just a little reminder as we go through the weekend. Be sure to enter your info on our SXM Member Roll to get listed on our map. We wanna see where our fellow TTOL friends are. Are you my neighbor?

hmmm another GSO area resident - interesting.

My mom went to ECTC, so I have a family tie to East Carolina.

Gonna let it go just a little longer, and then we'll post the map tomorrow afternoon. Calling all TTOLers, get your spot on the map reserved!
