So, for Pat… Saba, she be back, for the first time in a week. Beautiful morning here…

[Linked Image]

[Linked Image]

We had breakfast of ham and cheese omelet,

[Linked Image]

with a mimosa for me and bloody mary for Eric, courtesy of Carrefour!

[Linked Image]

We went the other day and bought some groceries and they gave us some free vodka, so that called for bloody mary for Eric anyway!

Then, we headed to Mullet, for a close to perfect beach day. The sand was slanted, going into the water, but almost no waves.

[Linked Image] Even I was able to get in and out of the water without any problem. There was one row of chairs on the water and that was pretty much it. I could have wished for a bit more wind, but otherwise, hard to complain.

Of course, any day at Mullet would not be complete without ribs and chicken and fries from Rosie's!
The wait is part of the fun!

[Linked Image]

And, one should have your own properly chilled bottle of wine!

[Linked Image]

Check out the scenery and the planes landing!

Looks like heaven to me and no Mt. Everest to scale when getting in and out of the water. Purrfect!!

Are the chair guys allowing a little more room between the chair set-ups? When we were there in April they were making them so close together you were hard pressed to walk through from the back to the front of the chairs when trying to access the water. It was a total turn off to me and the poor people in row three didn’t stand a fighting chance to get into the water unless they walked the length of the row and then to the sand cliff edge and down to the water.

You got lucky - a perfect ‘Mullet Kinda Day’ doesn’t happen every day. Save some for those who come behind you, please.

Respectfully,

pat

Great pictures! Looks like a great day. Another month and I will see for myself, hope to have a day like this. Thanks.

Except for his hair color changing a little, Eric always looks the same.

There was only ONE row of chairs. When we left there were a couple behind, but think they were local, it is Saturday and the kids where out in force!! Not bad, just from time to time the kids where having a yelling fun time. That is ok we enjoyed them. Several cruise ship passengers as well, actually right next to us, so was an enjoyable conversation.

But back to you question, yes it was tight between the chairs (ok really tight). No problem getting to the water, one row, but getting back to the bar AND grill...… ok, Carol sent me anyway, so why are you worried????? (G) I mean really you are going back to get the food????? I thought DH was responsible -- sort of like me???? jester

Yes it was a great day. Actually the breeze was light -- overall great, but by the later in the afternoon it was time to leave. Get back "home" to shower, free drinks, our own beach, etc.... But was a great day ----- I did not have to cook the ribs and chicken and fries!!!!!!!!!! joy

Just plan the day --- cooler with extra wine and beer --- actually we took some plates as it was easier then dealing with the stryrofoam and was really better. But we had a cooler to take the bottle of wine, water, beer and some other stuff. Still Rosie got drink orders, chairs, lunch, etc.

We all did well.

Quitting smoking, Woman --- That explains EVERYTHIING and the extra weight!!!!!!! Think is mostly Carol !!!!!!!!!!!! I mean really ……………?????

Not going there (smoking), as it is a challenge for anybody that has smoked as long as I have. Still a challenge but still successful. Deal with if from day to day even now (and now over a year). Not simple at all.

The first of the week, someone said it was totally flat calm and no drop off, so we took a chance today. Well, actually, we went by there yesterday afternoon to look and saw there wasn't a cliff, so went over today. We had some pretty good waves here the middle of this week, but it's calming down now. So hopefully it will be calm again tomorrow, for our last full day..

In the pic with Eric eating ribs there seems to be more wine out of one glass than the other?? It will need refilling sooner! 🤔😁
Great reports,thanks for the time!

jeepers--I think that was just after Eric got back with the food. I had to have some liquid sustenance, waiting for the food! grin

I didn't know you were back---Beautiful!!

I think My husband and I are the true Mullet lovers--we always get teased about spending everyday
there and it's true.
On really rough days we will go elsewhere or back to our Villa #10 at BSV. (Now sometimes #13--both special)
Now you know why we do leave to go to Mullet.

There have been a lot of pictures posted of calm waters at Mullet lately and we do have to say we were lucky to have many ourselves.

Enjoy your time---looks wonderful!!

We do love Mullet, yes, but overall, I love being here more. I'm actually much more of a pool person, as I don't care for sand, in general! grin

Wingman--wish I was coming in two weeks, versus going home tomorrow! I can actually see Saba and three other islands this morning. Not sure which ones they are? I'm not sure a picture will turn out of them. Will give it a go with the long lens in a bit. All the staff here are GREAT, as always!

Wow Carol, looks like y’all are having a great time. The pics look great. Is that a cooler from BSV? Just wondering, because when we go to mullet we always bring a cooler from there, but their coolers have cup holders in the top. Just wondering, looks like it was a great day!

Fox--No, we rent a cooler and an umbrella from Craig at Packlight. Unless something has changed, the coolers from here are HUGE, way too big for us to carry to the beach.

Leona--The secret to the TV at BSV is to set PREFERENCES to show HD and non HD channels. The network channels are ONLY on non HD. The channel listing card shows only the HD channels. If you don't need the network channels, just type in the channel on the remote. Getting the non HD is more complicated.

Your pictures are beautiful. Makes me miss our favorite island so much!! The beach at Mullet looks great! When we were there in July the bottom of the ocean was mainly rocks, which is NOT what we are used to at Mullet. Wondering what that situation is now for you.

You know I have only been to Mullet's once and had a meal at Mary's Boon..Didn't walk the beach as the shelving just appeared too high for my wife to cope with. Has this changed somewhat? Also where is Rosie's in relation to Mary's Boon. Those pics taken, look blissful and calm.

Rosie's is on Mullet Bay Beach. Mullet Bay Beach is where the golf course is, past the airport and the Maho area but before the Cupecoy area. Mary's Boon is on Simpson Bay Beach, two different locations and beaches. Like most beaches, Mullet can change overnight, sometimes it is calm like bathwater and others times there is a cliff and 8' waves.

I'm so happy to hear that Carol. I was shocked that you couldn't even walk into the water. You had to "swim" over the rocks to even attempt to stand. I had never seen anything like that at Mullet. Happy that Mother Nature corrected things.
