I am posting this on behalf of Pusser's as I feel the group would like to know this information: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To all our friends and Pusser’s supporters, we’re sorry to have to tell you that we no longer have a presence at Marina Cay. Yep! Our time is up. After more than 25 years as a tenant with a good landlord, we’ve had to call it quits. We’re a small company, and Hurricane IRMA ate us up financially. Consequently, we were unable to meet the terms of a new lease. Nevertheless, we had a good run, introduced Pusser’s to a lot of good people like you, and had a lot of fun. But we’re still flying and moving forward! You can now come and visit us at our new place on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean: Pusser’s at Myett’s at Cane Garden Bay! You can see it all on our ( https://pussers.com/pussers-web-cams/), web cam. And there’s an adjoining Pusser’s Co. Store stocked with the full Pusser’s line. Our Pusser’s Co. Store at Leverick Bay on Virgin Gorda came through IRMA with flying colors. It’s been open over the past year 7 days weekly. And then there’s the Pusser’s Painkiller Bar and Co. Store on Main Street in Roadtown, Tortola. Everything’s up and running, and the Pusser’s Co. Store is fully stocked with our unique, proprietary line of Tropical, Nautical & Travel apparel. This is our 40th Year in Roadtown. Come and visit us, and if you’re a member of a yacht or boating club, bring along one of your club’s burgees and we’ll fly it permanently in the Pub! Or if you wish to send us one, send it to me: Charles Tobias (I’m the Founder), PO Box 8309; Cruz Bay, St. John; VI 00831. We get our mail over there because it’s faster. Finally, we expect to open our Pusser’s Landing and Co. Store at West End by the first part of December. As you’ll recall, we’re just across from the Custom’s dock in colorful Soper’s Hole. Know that all the good things connected with sailing, yachting and boating here in the BVI, the Sailing Capital of the World, are all just about back. So do come on into Pusser’s with your family and friends – for some good food and drink, a special shopping experience, topped off with cheerful,”Splice the Main Bracing”! Meanwhile, we thank you sincerely for the support that you’ve given us and the BVI over many years, and look forward to seeing you again for many years to come. Charles Tobias, Founder

Yes it was unfortunate...will there be a restaurant/bar on MC going forward?

Was just going to post this. It looks like the dock will still be open for fuel, at least for a few months.

Surely somebody will take on that task of returning Marina Cay to the great place it has been in the past.

At the very least, I hope someone maintains the mooring balls since that is such a great stop on the way to North Sound and as a fallback when Cooper Island is full.

You need to bring happy hour music back to CGB..Kapeye was a big draw at "Myett's"..bring him back and you will fill the place with regulars and visitors..Just IMHO..I will stop there before I say how I feel about what Puss/ett's has become. Marina Cay should have been a rocking destination and you had the staff to make it work..this is pre Irma.

Sounds to me like a great idea - I will make sure to pass this along - I don't make any real decisions on things like this, and totally agree with you. Hopefully things will go better in the near future.

Charles Thanks for your Leverick Bay store. Over the past 30 years+ we have shopped this store and bought many great items there. Looking forward to our next visit in November!

I'm sure you'll see an announcement about MC soon but the rumor I've heard will be a good fit.

I’m planning on taking a mooring ball Oct 31, be nice if it’s not a ghost town. We there there and enjoyed Pussers last March. Granted Irma did a number on Narina Cay but I’ve always lived it.

Marina Cay has always been a great stopping point on the way to/from so many other locations. The Happy Hour Bar has always had the best sunset in the BVI’s. I hope that whatever opens on Marina Cay maintains that bar and keeps it low key. Anyone know whether there will be something operating there by January?

I'm sure you'll see an announcement about MC soon but the rumor I've heard will be a good fit. That would be great news, Marina Cay is kind of a pivotal spot in the itinerary. Near Baths, easy to pick up crew from EIS, stop on the way to Dogs and Leverick or stopover before Anegada or even CGB or Jost. It fits so many itineraries. Would LOVE to have something else make it there.

Marina Cay should have been a rocking destination and you had the staff to make it work..this is pre Irma. Dave’s (Kapeye) band Nighthawk played for my wife’s 40th birthday (decades ago) and we’ve kept in touch over the years, ever since he “turned us on” to Tortola. I haven’t seen him this year since he sat in with my nephew’s band a few months ago and I didn’t get a chance to talk with him then. Has he been in contact with you and is he planning on another Myett’s gig? I was sorry to see that he looked much weaker... I hope MC is able to get back to where it was and retain that low key vibe and not become the new hot spot...

I still have my Pussers burgee that I got in the 90's...you had to have painkillers at three Pussers to earn one and the offcial drinking certificate.
After every Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF.

Sad to hear this. We got married at the MC rum bar and are taking our kids to the BVI this spring. We’ll still stop at MC, but it won’t be the same without Pussers.

Scrub Island renamed their outdoor restaurant Donovan’s Reef. Maybe they heard folks saying how great it was. Unfortunately that’s all that changed.
