Wondered the same thing. Heard rumors back in April they may never reopen as a Westin but I chalked that up to being ‘just more island rumors until I heard some official confirmation which I haven’t heard yet.

An owner at the timeshare portion of the property posted today that s/he had been told in July the hotel WILL reopen but the branding isn't yet known. Apparently the branding depends upon how the hotel is built. It may be a Marriott but they are hoping it will end out being a Ritz Carlton.

Westin has announced ZERO. I do work for the top travel information company and have asked them officially on a NDA basis and they hung up the last time we talked. Staff on the property is blabbing though, telling guests it will open in about a year as a five-star resort. My guess is it will rebrand as a Marriott but that's only my guess.
