Curious as to if SXM has an online immigration and customs form that can be filled out and printed pre-trip, like so many other countries do now?

Ditto with Scubaman. This isn't the same as going to Mexico. Just have your passports handy and things typically go very well.

Now now but they did bring out a new immigration form after Irma.

I’ve made over 14 trips post Irma starting 11/2017 and never had to fill out a form.

We flew in after Irma and had no forms to fill.

That's interesting because we flew in twice this year on AA and both times we were given immigration forms to fill out--one for each person.

No forms Nov. 2018 but they gave us forms Feb. 2019. By the comments we must have been special.

Yep. I had to fill forms out both November last year and June this year. Both on AA.

Strange. We didn't have to on our May 2018 or May 2019 trips. Both on AA.

It may depend on the flight crew.

No forms for us in April flying on AA. We have GE but i don't believe that has anything to do with it, only U.S return.

In April we flew both JB and AA and didn't have to complete immigration forms on either leg of our trip.

Yet, three responses indicated they were given forms.
I traveled in March and don't recall if I was given a form or not.

I think the attendants pass them out because they are not sure. If you are not a US or Canadian citizen I think they have to be filled out. But occasionally the crew doesn’t do the route and gets confused and still offers them. About 99.9% sure they are not necessary.

JD--I don't remember if we got the forms or not. For years and years, it was standard practice, so it wouldn't make a big impression on me if I did have to fill out a form, but I don't THINK that we filled out forms in June, this year.

We were given forms in March(westjet). They were never collected.

If I recall correctly the forms handed out were more of a survey on what brings you to the island and where staying than an immigration form.

We haven't had to do forms in a couple of years. Sort of nice! (We usually travel AA)

Maybe the airlines messed up. New flight attendants(?), or maybe they thought they were going to Mexico(!), etc. The only times we have ever filled out an immigration form or document while on a flight in the past was when we were flying to Cancun. Always hated that form. Requires super small printing while the plane is bouncing through 'rough air'! Never once in SXM.

Hmmm,

There was a time when the completion of those two toned blue forms was mandatory to enter SXM and I can’t tell you how many times we panicked because we couldn’t find the ‘stubs’ that were to be collected at the immigration departure area. But that was all well before Irma and then for a couple of years the FA, particularly on the JFK AA flights still handed out the forms and told us to complete them but no one collected them upon SXM arrival.

We used the "Mobile Passport" App last December. Someone mentioned it when we were on the island. It let us breeze through Immigration at IAD, probably saved 20 minutes. You fill out one application for the whole family on your smart phone before you land. It works at about 28 airports.

We just got Global Entry a few weeks ago, so our next trip should be easy.

So far we have had very good luck with our Global Entry, returning through PHL, and CLT.

The immigration form OP is referring to is the form that was to be filled out entering SXM. Global Entry is for entering USA and has nothing to do with entering SXM.

There were no forms to fill out when travelling on WestJet from Canada for about the last three trips. It was discontinued before Irma. Someone asked about the forms and were told by the crew that they were no longer required to enter SXM.
