Due the the wacky AA problems, part of our group will have to overnight in Miami after our sailing week. Any ideas about hotels, something fun to do for just one night in Miami?

Try the President Hotel on Collins Ave, in South beach. We are staying there this Sunday night before getting on cruise ship Monday morning. It's a nice spot to be with plenty of different restaurants to enjoy a bite and all within walking distant.

There are a lot of hotels outside the airport. We have had good luck at the Doubletree just SW of the airport. Check Hotwire for a last minute cheap rate.

There is a hotel right there at the airport just a very short walk from AA counter etc. Cant beat it for convince. The Miami International Hotel. About 168$ for a double queen room.

I have stayed at the nearby Hampton Inn many times. It is walkable to a Publix and a couple of restaurants.
